Precautions
We treat conditions including bronchial asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pulmonary tuberculosis (TB), community acquired pneumonia, pleural effusion, bronchiectasis, interstitial lung disease (ILD), allergic bronchitis, respiratory tract infections, sleep apnoea, and acute respiratory failure. Both OPD and indoor management are available for all respiratory conditions requiring medical attention.
Our department offers OPD respiratory consultations, pulmonary function testing (PFT), nebulisation therapy, oxygen therapy, chest physiotherapy coordination, sputum examination and culture, DOTS therapy for tuberculosis, indoor admissions for acute respiratory illnesses, and long-term follow-up for chronic lung diseases. We also provide emergency respiratory care for patients with acute breathlessness and respiratory distress.
Patients are strongly advised to quit smoking and avoid exposure to dust, smoke, and air pollutants. Asthma and COPD patients should always carry their inhalers and follow prescribed medication schedules regularly. TB patients must complete the full course of DOTS therapy without interruption. Regular follow-up visits and pulmonary function tests are essential to monitor disease progression and treatment response.
